Laptop Loan Program for Economically and Culturally Disadvantaged Students

To promote equal access to education and strengthen support for disadvantaged students, NTNU offers a short-term laptop loan service to help students in need complete their academic work successfully.

Eligibility
Applicants must be currently enrolled students at NTNU and meet economic or cultural disadvantage criteria.
Students who meet any of the following conditions and require a laptop for academic purposes may apply:
· Students from low-income or lower-middle-income households
· Children/grandchildren from families facing special hardship
· Students with disabilities or children of disabled individuals
· Indigenous students”
·Students meeting the Ministry of Education’s disadvantaged student criteria
·Students from culturally and educationally underserved regions (including international students)
·Students identified as having financial hardship by their advisor or relevant units.

Application Periods: February 1 and August 1 every year. Laptops are distributed in order of approval after qualification review.
Loan Period: The default loan duration is one semester.

Important Notes
1.Approved students must sign a Laptop Loan Agreement before receiving the equipment.
2.Borrowers must use and maintain the laptop responsibly, and return it by the agreed deadline.
3.In case of damage, loss, or late return, the borrower must compensate in accordance with NTNU regulations.
