Academic and Career Mentorship System

Student Advising: Our school is the first in the nation to implement a "dual-track system," offering students comprehensive guidance and support. This system includes Academic Advisers and Student Advisers. Academic Advisers are faculty members from various departments, while Student Advisers are professional student support staff from the Student Adviser Office under the Office of Student Affairs.

Guidance Information

The Mentor Guidance Handbook is organized around the themes of Mentor Responsibilities, Student Learning Resources, Educational Advocacy, Campus Safety, and Relevant Counseling Regulations. It gathers and consolidates information from relevant departments to serve as a reference for mentors, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of student guidance.

Student Advisers' Meeting

The Student Advisers' Meeting at our school is held on the Wednesday of the second week after the start of each semester. In the meeting, in addition to promoting the responsibilities and key points of mentors’ work, expert scholars are invited to deliver lectures analyzing topics such as student life, learning, and career guidance. Discussions are also conducted with academic and administrative units to collaboratively address matters related to the mentorship system and assist in resolving issues encountered in mentor guidance.

Governing Exceptional Adviser Selection and Incentives Program

To implement the advisor system and strengthen the mentoring function, our school selects outstanding advisers each year through recommendations from each college. A university-level Exceptional Advisor Selection Committee is convened before May to choose five exceptional advisers, who are then publicly recognized and rewarded.
