Freshman Orientation – Now the New U

The school tree, the Golden Shower Tree (Cassia fistula), blooms with golden flowers that sway gently in the early summer breeze. Its petals fall like rain, while the long seed pods hanging from its branches are the fruits of the previous season—last year’s fruits and this year’s blossoms coexisting on the same tree. This symbolizes the spirit of heritage and continuity among generations of faculty and students at NTNU. Our orientation camp is specially named “The 118th Class Bole Academy – In Search of a Life Mentor”. It transforms the spirit of the school tree into the image of Bole, the legendary talent scout, with the hope that every faculty member and student can become a mentor who helps you discover your potential during your university journey. We aim to support your holistic development and guide you toward successful learning outcomes. Please get ready to take your first step into university life. With our sincerest care and support, we warmly welcome you to our big family and wish you a rewarding and fulfilling experience.

Camp Information:
1.Camp Dates:From 9:30 AM on August 26th, 2025 (Tuesday) to 12:00 PM on August 29th, 2025 (Friday). Free elective courses will be held in the afternoon of August 29th, 2025 (Friday).
2.Registration Time:From 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on August 26th , 2025 (Tuesday).

3.Meal Payment:
The meals during the camp are ordered collectively, totaling NT$600 (calculation: lunch and dinner NT$120 × 5 meals, with the dinner on August 27th during the department meeting to be self-paid). Please make the payment at China Trust Bank / Post Office / Four Major Convenience Stores / ATM / Credit Card by August 20th. (Overseas and international students may pay at the Post Office or China Trust Bank counter on the registration day with the payment slip.) Payments after August 20th can only be made at the Post Office / China Trust Bank counter / ATM (including web ATM

New students can choose one of the following methods to print the payment slip:
(1)Print the camp meal payment slip from the new student registration system.
(2)After activating the campus system account, print the payment slip from the Tuition and Fees Information section.

4.Reminders:
(1)Before reporting on August 26th, please watch the online Legal Education Course on YouTube. After watching all four videos, kindly complete the course survey.

(2)As the camp includes physical activities, please wear comfortable clothing. Avoid wearing skirts, high heels, or flip-flops.
(3)Please bring your National Health Insurance (NHI) card and any necessary personal medication. If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or special dietary needs, inform your group leader or teacher in advance.
(4)Disposable tableware will not be provided during the event. Please bring your own reusable utensils, water bottle, and personal hygiene items to help protect our planet.
